Gray is now a month old. She's doing great! She's eating a lot and generally a pretty good little sleeper. She normally wakes up around 1 and 5 to nurse at night. Trey and I are still adjusting to life as parents. We're actually still trying to comprehend the fact that we have a daughter. We were saying last night that it feels just as strange as it did to call each other husband and wife when referring to each other in conversations when we first got married.
The days have been pretty busy with nursing her, changing her, bathing her, and patting her back. I've also been trying to put lessons together for when I go back to school for the month of May. She'll be in daycare for May, but back home with Mommy and Daddy until fall. Trey's been going out of town for work about every other week now. My parents have been enjoying stepping in to help out while he's away. They actually fight over Grace! My mom was explaining this morning that she needs more time with Grace because my dad was hogging her all night last night when I went over for dinner. She'll watch Gray tomorrow night when Trey and I go out for date night.
Trey's learning the ropes on Saturday nights. He has decided to give me a night off once a week so I can relax. He watches Grace, feeds her, changes her and puts her back to bed on Saturdays. Last week was the first time and I LOVED IT! Since he's out of town Monday-Thursday and I am a single mom during that time, the night off is wonderful!
